It is sponsored by<a href=\"https:\/\/sagroups.ieee.org\/dcsc\/\"> IEEE Data Compression Standards Committee (C\/DCSC)<\/a>\u00a0under\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.computer.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IEEE Computer Society.<\/a>\u00a0The Working Group is charted to create and maintain 1857 series standards to provide regular high quality and efficient coding tool sets for compression, decompression, processing, and representing of multimedia data.
