The target applications and services include but are not limited to Internet video, video surveillance, video conference, digital television broadcasting, user-generated video content, and other video\/audio-enabled services and applications such as digital video storage and communication.<\/p>\n<p>Latest Action:<br \/>\nThe 1857.4 was approved as IEEE standard on 23 October 2018. (25 October 2018)<br \/>\nThe Project PAR was authorized on Dec 11, 2013, and currently the standard is being drafted, and it is open to anyone who is interested in the technology we are standardizing.
