the latest version of the 1858 standard has been published by IEEE.
This revision of the CPIQ standard builds on IEEE Std 1858-2016 by:
- adding a perceptual measurement of auto exposure which produces a Just Noticeable Difference (JND) metric.
- improving the texture metric by adding signal averaging to reduce noise.
- making the lighting conditions more strictly defined.
- updating SFR metric to bring charts in line with the ISO 12233 2017 standard.
- addition of new video jitter calculation procedure.
- addition of new motion blur calculation procedure.
- addition of new video exposure and white balance convergence calculation procedure.
