  1. This is a TECHNICAL committee. Please familiarize yourself with these antitrust and IP guidelines for IEEE meetings.
  2. Report the existence of any patent claims that might be essential to implementers of any proposed standards (Potentially Essential Patents):
    • Speak up now, or
    • Report any essential patents of which you are personally aware to the Chair, or
    • Cause a Letter of Assurance to be submitted to the IEEE-SA

    • 33rd Florida Artificial Intelligence Research Society (FLAIRS–33) (May 17–20, 2020, North Miami Beach, FL)
      • All deadlines passed. Conference proceeding as planned as of now.
    • Discussion on potential venues for outreach; the following conferences were mentioned as venues where Project 2247 members might conduct AIS-specialized sessions
      • I/ITSEC 2020—
        • Bob Sottilare submitted a proposal for special event at IITSEC focused on the recent Augment Reality standard
        • Abstracts – will be reviewed in Hilton Head next week
      • AI in Education (Morocco)—Richard Tong suggested we propose a workshop for AIED in 2020
        • Workshop & Tutorial Proposals: March 15, 2020, 11:59 pm PST
      • ASU-GSV in San Diego—Richard Tong suggested that we propose another industry event similar to what was done in 2019 – postponed until 29 August, 1 October 2020
      • Jim Goodell noted that he proposed a ICICLE workshop for Learning@Scale (proposal due Feb 3rd; Atlanta)
      • AERA—Art Graesser suggested that we look at potential alignment with activities in the National Council on Educational Measures (in 2021 in Orlando – April 9–12; Special symposium submission is due in July); interaction with AERA SIGs?
      • Innovation in Testing—Ben Bell suggested we look at synergy with the  Innovation in Testing Conference (2021)
      • Project 2247 One PagerBased on a recommendation by Art Graesser, Bob Sottilare generated a 1 page description of Project 2247 activities for members to bring with them to conferences and meetings
      • Jody Cockroft shared a spreadsheet of upcoming 2020 conferences for reference.
  • Subgroups
    • Leaders have established meetings. Everyone should have received notifications via email.
    • Regional Leaders
      • Conceptual Modeling Subgroup Chair—Anne Knowles
        • We have completed draft of the Standard for the Classification of Adaptive Instructional Systems (AISs) for Individual Learners. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Find the draft here, and make any edits or comments in the browser version.
        • Please complete your feedback by March 13th.
