The 9th<\/sup> AIM Working Group plenary meeting was held virtually on 23rd<\/sup> June 2022, and quorum reached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IEEE Patent Policy: Call for Patents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The call for patents was issued; none raises or if any concerns were raised for consideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IEEE Copyright Policy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The copyright policy was presented. There were no questions or concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IEEE Participant Behavior<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participant behavior policy was presented. There were no questions or concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approval of the Agenda<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motion<\/strong> to approve the meeting agenda. (Mover: Ms. Xiaoxu Luan; Second: Dr. Chao Yang). The agenda was unanimously approved as presented without objection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2941: Standard for Artificial Intelligence (AI) Model Representation, Compression, Distribution and Management<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The standard is published in March 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2941.1: Standard for Operator Interfaces of Artificial Intelligence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 1st<\/sup> round of ballot was open and will be closed on 1st<\/sup> July. 42% return ballots, which hasn’t met the requirement (75%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2941.2: Standard for Application Programming Interface (API) of Deep Learning Inference Engine<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PAR was approved by NesCom on 15th June 2022. The chair of P2941.2, Mr. Xiaoguang Hu presented the architecture and requirements of the standard. The draft standard is planned in Dec. 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussion of Next Step<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attendees discussed the future of 2941 Working Group. More standards are planned to be establish in near future, as listed:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2941.3-5: standards around AI models’ representation and compression<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2941.6-8: standards around AI operators<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2941.9-10: standards around AI inference engine<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All members agreed that further discussion of the preliminary plan would take place at future meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approval of the establishment of CRG for 2941.1 standard<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Motion <\/strong>to approve the establishment of CRG for 2941.1 standard (Mover: Ms. Xiaoxu Luan; Second: Dr. Chao Yang).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CRG (Comment Resolution Group) for P2941.1 was established on this meeting. The scope of the CRG is to handle the comments received during the ballot of P2941.1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CRG is responsible to resolve the comments received at IEEE SA Ballot and report to the DCSC chair directly and the chair is authorized to respond to the balloters\u2019 comments via a recirculation ballot(s).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CRG members is listed below: Chao Yang, Ruibo Fan, Xiaoru Li.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next meeting is tentatively scheduled at 15:00 (Beijing Time Zone, GMT 8:00am) in August 2022, online. Remote attendees can request to set up teleconference service at least one week ahead of the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
