The 27th<\/sup> meeting of IEEE C\/DC SC was held in Changsha, China. Quorum reached. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Feng Wu, the chair of DCSC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A call for potentially essential patents was made, no potentially essential patent claims were declared; no holders of potentially essential patents were identified. All IEEE CS DCSC members could ask for the IEEE official patent document from the secretary. The IEEE copyright policy and participant behavior statement were presented then. There were no questions or concerns. The meeting agenda was unanimously approved as presented without objection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1857 WG – Audio Video Coding<\/strong>\uff1a<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

1857.5-Rev: The MEC check of the draft was passed and minor changes needed before launching the ballot. The ballot pool was closed with 23 experts on 6th<\/sup> March, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1857.13: The draft is under preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

P1857.14, P1857.15 and P1857.16 were submitted to IEEE Nescom for approval, the meeting will be held on 26th<\/sup> March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1857.11 Sub-WG- Neural Network-Based Image Coding<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 21th meeting was\u00a0held on Mar 14, 2025 (Changsha), where 2 input contributions had been discussed about LEM (reference software for exploration of large-model-based image coding) and exploration experiments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2941 WG – AI Model Representation, Compression, Distribution and Management<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 19th<\/sup> 2941 WG Meeting was held on 14th<\/sup> Mar. All attendees discussed 8 technical contributions related to P2941.3 and P2941.4 and all approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3122<\/strong> <\/strong>W<\/strong>G –<\/strong>Intelligent Data Processing and Compression for Internet of Things:<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The draft standard has passed pre-MEC check and the MEC check is on going. The ballot pool is open and will be closed on 21st<\/sup> Mar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3161<\/strong> <\/strong>W<\/strong>G – <\/strong>Digital Retina Systems:<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 15th<\/sup> 3161 WG meeting was held on 14th<\/sup> Mar.. 2 technical contributions and the draft standard of P3161.3 were discussed and approved in the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approval of the draft standard for P<\/strong>3161.3<\/strong> (DCSC-2<\/strong>6<\/strong>-N000<\/strong>1<\/strong>)<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Motion<\/strong> to approve the draft standard for P3161.3. (Mover: Xinbei Bai; Second: Dong Liu). Wen Ji presented the draft. It was unanimously approved as presented without objection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3184 WG- Data Framework for Autonomous Driving<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 12th<\/sup>\u00a0IEEE 3184 Working Group Meeting was held on March 14th<\/sup>. Attendees fully discussed 4 received contributions on new PARs, 3184, and 3184.3. All contributions were rejected, which will be revised and resubmitted at the next meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3<\/strong>404 WG- <\/strong>Data and Model of Multiple Computing Centers<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 7th<\/sup> 3404 WG Plenary Meeting was held on 13 Mar, 2025. The WG chair Yue Yu appointed Jian Wang as the chair of 3404.1 subgroup. Jian Wang appointed Junfeng Zhao and Zehui Liu as the vice chairs of 3404.1 subgroup. Attendees fully discussed 2 contributions on 3404.1 and 3404.2. They were both approved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3<\/strong>366 WG- Volumetric Data Compression<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 8th<\/sup> IEEE 3366 Working Group Meeting was held on March 13th<\/sup>. Attendees fully discussed 3 received contributions and all rejected. Further study on these contributions were encouraged. The draft standard of P3366.1 was passed pre-MEC check and submitted to MEC check. The ballot pool is open and will be clossed on 28th<\/sup> March, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3<\/strong>4<\/strong>83<\/strong> WG- <\/strong>Multi-Modality Feature Coding<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The 4th IEEE 3483 Working Group Meeting was convened on March 14th<\/sup>. Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on the proposed future directions and plans for deep intermediate feature coding, covering potential models, coding approaches, as well as the working plan and timeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next meeting is tentatively scheduled in March 2025. (The meeting notice will be published on our website one month before the meeting). Remote attendees can request to set up a teleconference service at least one week before the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This meeting minutes was approved on the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting closed at 18:00 on March 15th<\/sup>, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
