The following are exceptions: members of the IEEE Board of Directors, members of the IEEE Fellow Committee, IEEE Society\/Technical Council Fellow Evaluating Committee Chairs, members of IEEE Society\/Technical Council Fellow Evaluating Committee reviewing the nomination, or IEEE Staff. Self-nomination is not permitted.<\/p>\n<p>Nominators, please complete the following tasks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparing the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ieee.org\/membership\/fellows\/fellows-nomination.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\">IEEE Fellow Grade Nomination Form<\/a>.\u00a0 See Guides below.<\/li>\n<li>The Nominator must secure at least three, but no more than five, References from IEEE Fellows who are able to assess the Nominee\u2019s contributions and their impact\n<ul>\n<li><em>NOTE: A reference must be an IEEE Fellow in good standing. The following individuals are ineligible to serve as IEEE Fellow references: members of the IEEE Board of Directors, members of the Fellow Committee, members of the IEEE Society\/Technical Council Fellow Evaluating Committee reviewing the nomination or IEEE Staff. In addition, a nominator may not serve as a reference for a nomination he\/she is submitting. \u00a0Exception: References will be accepted if a reference is an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ieee.org\/membership_services\/membership\/senior\/senior_requirements.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-feathr-click-track=\"true\">IEEE Senior or Life Senior Member<\/a>\u00a0from Region 9, in good standing and the nominee they are serving as a reference resides in Region 9)<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It is highly recommended to solicit endorsements, however it is optional, you cannot have more than three endorsements capable of supporting the nomination.
