AgeTech is an IEEE initiative focused on developing standards proposals for effective technology and devices that support individuals as they age, enabling continued independence.
AgeTech Resource Hub (ARCH)
One part of this initiative involves education and creating a resource for AgeTech information, specifically through the AgeTech Resource Hub (ARCH).
ARCH’s goal is to create a curated list of resources that can support the development of AgeTech standards proposals and related items.
These resources will consist of a comprehensive listing of research efforts found in universities, research labs, and supporting organizations. It will also contain a list of current research practices and findings in the AgeTech field, including publications, white papers, and research findings. It will pull from special interest groups that focus on aging from professional organizations and related associations. As the study groups do their work, they can look to ARCH to find materials that support their efforts.
AgeTech Communication Hub
The education group will also be used to disseminate findings, meetings, talks, and other efforts supporting the AgeTech initiative. It is international in scope and will work with other organizations both within and outside of IEEE.
