ICICLE Update and September 2026 Community Call – A Conversation with ICICLE-ists about ICICLE Priorities, Reflections and New Directions
The ICICLE monthly community call is September 16th at 12pm ET. Once a year ICICLE takes a step back to reflect on what we have done over the past year, how our priorities have changed, and set new direction for how together we move ahead. In this month’s Community call, ICICLE Chair and Vice-Chair, Michael Jay and Jodi Lis, with the help of SIG and MIG chairs, elicit ideas for new directions and offerings promoted by ICICLE and ICICLE-ists. Put on your thinking caps and be prepared to provide input that will increase the value of your engagement with ICICLE to you and your organization. See you there!
We’ll be meeting via Webex for the community call.
Sharing AI Systems for Learning, a seminar in the Invitation to Learning Engineering Series held on August 20th hosted by ICICLE Design SIG, explored the role of learning sciences and the learning engineering process in developing AI systems. View the recording to learn about these case studies:
- “Applying the Learning Sciences to the Development of an AI Leadership Performance Coach,” with Amy Parent, co-chair of Design SIG
- “When AI Agents Become Your Learning Engineering Team: A Blueprint for the HSTCoPilot Heath and Safety Training System.” with Henry Ryng, Senior Learning Architect, inXsol
