The ICICLE monthly community call is\u00a0April 19th at 12pm ET<\/strong>. We are excited to have\u00a0Vic Vuchic<\/a>, Chief Strategy Officer,\u00a0Digital Promise<\/a>\u00a0join the call.\u00a0Digital Promise<\/a>\u00a0is an organization that advances equitable education systems by bringing together solutions across research, practice, and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Vic is a thought leader in education technology and philanthropy and an expert in learning science, innovation, and scaling initiatives, having worked across sectors in foundations, organizations and start-ups. Although he may not know it, he is a learning engineer! At Digital Promise<\/a> he founded the Learner Variability Project<\/a> which builds upon research regarding learner variability and uncovers strategies to meet learners where they are across varied contexts and needs. Join learning professionals 24th-26th July 2023 in-person at Carnegie Mellon University in the Simmons Auditorium, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA to share and deepen your understanding of learning engineering. The conference is less than four months away, and we can’t wait!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Early registration<\/a> ends May 31st. For IEEE members registration<\/a> is $250, non IEEE members $295 and students $205. The number of participants at the conference is limited, and we expect that the conference will sell out! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Submit your proposal<\/a> to share your learning engineering experiences around the theme, “Grounding Theory in Practice.” Submissions<\/a> are due May 1st. We have three types of sessions<\/a> for you to engage with conference participants about your work:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
The IEEE ICICLE 2023 conference will have a Vendor Exhibit<\/a> where corporate and industry partners can showcase an educational technology in support of learning engineering. Other opportunities to support the conference will soon be announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
