ICICLE February 2025 Community Call: Quality Matters with Deb Adair, CEO<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ICICLE monthly community call is February 19th at 12pm ET. We are excited that\u00a0Deb Adair<\/a>, CEO,\u00a0Q<\/a>uality Matters<\/a>\u00a0will be joining the call.\u00a0Quality Matters<\/a>\u00a0is global organization leading quality assurance in online and innovative digital teaching and learning environments. Its quality assurance system is used by over 1,600 institutions across K-12, higher education and professional\/corporate training in all 50 U.S states and 35+ countries. Deb will be sharing and discussing with the community how quality improvement and quality assurance is applied in learning environments, challenges and opportunities they currently see and face, and the role of quality improvement and quality assurance within the learning environment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ll be meeting via\u00a0Webex<\/a>\u00a0for the community call. (See details below with meeting code and password.) It is scheduled for one hour’s length. Full agenda will be posted\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learning about Learning Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leveraging Learning Engineering to Advance Authentic Learning in Virtual Reality<\/a>\u00a0is position paper by Kristin Torrence which proposes the application of learning engineering approaches for designing of authentic VR learning experiences and investigating best practices

For brief introductions to the\u00a0learning engineering process<\/a>,\u00a0Quality<\/a>\u00a0Information Partners<\/a>\u00a0has produced a series of\u00a0short videos<\/a>\u00a0(1-2 minutes each) on the components of the learning engineering process.
Learning Engineering Virtual Institute<\/a> hosts monthly Learning Engineering Research Round-Up sessions<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two technical papers focusing on AI and education with emphasis on mathematics are discussed. The next session is Tuesday, February 18 from 11am – 12pm ET. Register\u00a0here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special Interest Groups and Market Interest Groups<\/a> is where much of the work in ICICLE happens. The groups develop resources and document experiences for the learning engineering community. Participate in one, two or all of them.
