  5. IEEE SA Patent & Copyright Policies; Participant Behavior
Patent and copyright slides were shown and discussed by the chair. Chair provided an opportunity for participants to identify patent claim(s)/patent application claim(s) and/or the holder of patent claim(s)/patent application claim(s) of which the participant is personally aware and that may be essential for the use of that standard.
    No discussion.
  6. Draft update
Mike Stewart discussed the recent updates to the Scene data structure in the standard that were motivated by discussion from the previous meeting. Clarity has be added to its purpose and how to use it. Additionality some items were shifted between the global and image elements. There were some comments and review already in the GITHUB, and Mike outlined some best practices for providing those.
  7. Open GITHUB issues
We briefly reviewed some of the issues currently open in the GITHUB repository. There was some discussion on adding an issue with regard to dictating a uniform weighting. There was some support for this idea, but it was recognized that this might be somewhat contentious as many providers currently do not do that. The group will prepare for a formal vote on the topic.
  8. Data sample candidates
There is a desire to produce concrete examples of the standard from free and open datasets from SAR data providers participating in the working group to 1) serve as a template for others trying to build to the standard and 2) identified roadblocks that may not have been previously noticed in a purely theoretical standard.
There was additional discussion on what validation tools or a certification process might look like for those building to this standard.
  9. Unfinished Business/Action Item Review
    None discussed.
  10. New Business
    None discussed.
