4. IEEE Patent Policy
\nLeland presented the IEEE Patent policy. There were no comments from
\nthe attendees concerning patent issues that they were aware of.<\/p>\n
5. Overview of SICD std and related SAR stds
\nWade presented his overview of the current standard.
\nRon was concerned about proprietary and regulatory issues.
\nWade said he thought that it was designed to not go into so much
\ndetail that those would be a problem.
\nFor scansar would need to add relationships between burts.
\nCan deal with multiple receive apertures as long as only one complex
\nimage is the result.
\naspects and instrumnets that are either poorly handled or not handled
\nby the current standard:
\n native doppler (as in ALOS, uavsar)
\n full bistatic
\n sentinel-1 (current std can only handle 1 burst not multiple)<\/p>\n
6. Discussion of scope and organization of current std

\nIt was suggested that perhaps we should consider adding a
\nconformance specification to the standard, as ISO does.<\/p>\n
