\n5. Discussion of current draft standard
\n===================================<\/p>\n
Talked about how to convert SICD to ISO, in particular the “discovery”
\npart.
\nBasic process was:
\n1. to search SICD in order to fillin the mandatory ISO elements
\n2. used optional ISO elements where there were similar SICD mandatory
\n elements<\/p>\n
One issue that was noticed was that the “associated data” in ISO is
\nnot generally availabale when creating a product at the processing
\nfacility.
\nonly later, when cataloging, is such info. available.
\nSICD was designed to provide only the metadata available when creating
\na product at the processing facility.
\nFor example, if a DEM was used in processing, should that be made
\navailable as part of the SAR data? or a reference to it? or?
\nNeeds further discussion.<\/p>\n
Wade then sent an example SICD XML file to everyone in order to
\nencourage people to convert a part of it to the ISO equivalent.<\/p>\n
