Title: Point-of Care Devices
Scope: 11073 POCD WG develop and promote IEEE standards addressing the interoperability of medical devices, to manage, exchange and evaluate data between devices, systems, data sources and repositories ensuring safety, effectiveness, security, privacy, trustworthiness and transparency in healthcare and public health.

The PoCD WG has close collaboration with standard development organizations such as ISO, IHE and HL7. The IEEE 11073-PoCD standards are adopted by ISO TC215 as ISO international standards via the IEEE-ISO PSDO agreement, and are further adopted by CEN as EU standards. Most of them are adopted by FDA as FDA Recognized Consensus Standards.
