Recommended Practice for Common Framework of Location Services for Healthcare
- Scope: This recommended practice contains a common framework of Location Services for Healthcare. The framework includes (1) LS Healthcare conceptual information model and (2) LS Healthcare common terminology. This base standard will serves as a foundation for additional standards such as Use Cases, Data Interfaces, and Medical Device Integration. This includes the suite of systems and services that are used in Real Time Location Systems (RTLS) such as: active Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), passive RFID, Indoor Position Systems (IPS), Geospatial positioning, GPS and mobile location.
