Title: Guide for the Selection of Roof Insulators for Electric Locomotive with Nominal Voltage of 25 kV

Scope: This guide specifies a classification, environmental conditions, technical requirements, testing and selection of roof insulators for electric locomotives. This guide applies to the roof insulators for alternating current electric locomotives with nominal voltage of 25 kV below and at an altitude of 5000 m and below.
