IEEE P3370 Co-Located MIMO SAR WG
IEEE P3370 Standard for Performance Metrics of Collocated Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)

Scope:  This standard describes the capabilities, functionalities, and technical performance metrics for collocated multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) synthetic aperture radar (SAR)
systems. The performance metrics can be tailored to particular radar functions such as waveform management, search, track, discrimination, parameter estimation, or imaging. Included in the scope of this standard are computational metrics for algorithms, such as latency and throughput, as well as metrics related to the form, fit, and function of hardware configurations. In a collocated MIMO scenario, the transmit and receive antennas are close together and the detected signals are coherent. This separation is typically on the order of a few wavelengths. Further, the cross section of scatterers appears approximately equal to each receive antenna and minimal spatial diversity is possible. This standard contains open-source data, and processing and simulation code, including the source code that reproduces the technical results used to derive the standard.
