Scope: The scope of the IEEE Reliability Society Standards Committee (IEEE-RS-SC) is to recommend (to the IEEE Standards Board and the IEEE RS) documents for engineering standards, guides, and practices, including definitions and terminology related to the field of reliability to be followed in electronics and allied industries. Further scope includes:
a) IEEE RS-SC submits PARs for consideration by NesCom for Reliability Standards, Guidelines and Practices.
b) The IEEE-RS-SC generates and develops appropriate standards in its field of interest for processing by the IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) in accordance with IEEE policies as per Clause 1.3.
c) This IEEE-RS-SC is one of several technical committees under the IEEE-RS VP of Technical Activities. The VP of Technical Activities is an elected member of the IEEE RS EXCOM and ADCOM.
