  5. IEEE SA Patent & Copyright Policies; Participant Behavior
Patent and copyright slides were shown and discussed by the chair. Chair provided an opportunity for participants to identify patent claim(s)/patent application claim(s) and/or the holder of patent claim(s)/patent application claim(s) of which the participant is personally aware and that may be essential for the use of that standard.
    No discussion.
  6. Draft update
Dan Pressler summarized the 2 primary pull request that were added since the last meeting. This included some restructuring from the Grid section and synchronization of global and image coordinates.
It was noted that some of the proposed changes move from an enumerated field model (X/Y/Z, Lat/Lon/Hgt), such as in SICD, to a vector model. Some support was expressed in the group for the new vector model, since it fit with general programming practice, although it does require more careful documentation.
Within the first pull request, there was an additional proposal to move some fields (antenna and PRF) from optional to required, but that will be split into another request, so it can be dealt with separately.
The second pull request regarded additional image processing. This involves some field name changes and additions/removal of fields from SICD. Leland expressed that he was concerned about removing polarimetry calibration info as discussed. He agreed to submitting a recommendation via GITHUB for polarimetric calibration info.
  7. Open GITHUB issue discussion
It was determined that issue #37 could be closed out as resolved. If ICEYE later decides to prototype a geoJSON version, a new issue can be opened to describe that.
Leland discussed his support for maintain weighting descriptions and anything that allow the standard to remain descriptive, rather than prescriptive. Davide Pirrone agreed that it would be challenging for some providers to remove a weighting.
Discussion began on quaternions vs point vectors. Resulted in GITHUB issue and reference to previous issue.
