  5. IEEE SA Patent & Copyright Policies; Participant Behavior
Patent and copyright slides were shown and discussed by the chair. Chair provided an opportunity for participants to identify patent claim(s)/patent application claim(s) and/or the holder of patent claim(s)/patent application claim(s) of which the participant is personally aware and that may be essential for the use of that standard.
    No discussion.
  6. Draft Update/GITHUB Issues/PRs
The new ErrorStatistics pull request was reviewed. It captures the uncertainty in position and velocity of the sensor. It was a substantial module that took a significant amount of work to complete. The final structure is 2 consistent covariance matrices, rather than a set of condition monostatic/bistatic fields.
A pull request was reviewed on radiometric descriptions. The proposal that the working group is pushing forward uses a dB rather than linear scale. This is a departure from the typical radiometric description in many sensor-specific SLC formats, but the belief is that it may result in smaller residual errors.
A proposed change in the naming of the window/weighting fields was presented and there were no objections.
There is still some uncertainty with regard to how to structure the ImageFormation substructure, so a request was made to the group for suggestions on how to do this most cleanly.
A decision was made to combine tropospheric and ionospheric uncertainty into an overall slant delay uncertainty, since it is difficult to disentangle the various sources of that uncertainty.
  7. Unfinished Business/Action Item Review
Polarization and ImagePosition were identified as the 2 most significant remaining technical sections of the standard.
The group is also considering producing a prototype from real SAR data in a GEOTIFF wrapper.
  8. New Business
    None discussed.
