Notice on the selection of the 2022 IEEE C/BDL outstanding contribution award

BDL Members:

In order to promote the vigorous development of IEEE C/BDL Standards Committee and encourage the enthusiasm of standards working group and standards experts, it is proposed to carry out the selection of IEEE C/BDL outstanding contribution award. The selection activities are described as follows:

1.Award setting:
IEEE C/BDL outstanding contribution award consists of outstanding working group award and expert outstanding contribution award.
Outstanding working group award: no more than 3 working groups per year.
Expert outstanding contribution award: no more than 5 experts per year.

2.Selection scope
The outstanding working group award is for all IEEE C/BDL standards working groups.
The expert outstanding contribution award is for all IEEE C/BDL standardization experts.

3.Selection criteria 
The outstanding working group award candidate working group should actively carry out blockchain standardization, and the standard development work is fruitful, including standard progress, working group members, conference organization, etc.
Candidates for the expert outstanding contribution award shall have a solid professional level and outstanding ability, and play an important role and influence in promoting IEEE C/BDL standard work.

4.Selection procedure
(1) Recommended
The outstanding working group award shall be voluntarily declared by each working group, and the working group shall truthfully prepare the declaration materials;
The expert outstanding contribution award may be nominated by others, and the nominee shall be responsible for the authenticity of the application materials.
(2) Selection
The outstanding working group award is selected by the IEEE C/BDL Executive Committee;
The outstanding contribution award of experts shall be voted by all members of IEEE C/BDL.
(3) Results announcement and award
The list of IEEE C/BDL outstanding working group award and expert outstanding contribution award will be announced at the plenary meeting and the award certificate will be issued.

5.Declaration time
From now until July 31.

6.Declaration method and material requirements 
After completing the application materials, the applicant organization or individual shall send them to the IEEE c/bdl Secretariat through e-mail. The e-mail address of the Secretariat is: [email protected].
