Artificial Intelligence PAR Study Group
Scope: As Artificial Intelligence Systems (AIS) continue advancing from research labs to pilot deployments in the rail industry, the IEEE VTS Communications-Based Train Control and Signals Standards Committee discussed the need and the possibilities of standardization of domain specific applications of the AIS and decided to form a PAR Study Group. The group will provide recommendations to the Standards Committee as to whether the standardization project(s) should be undertaken for the domain-specific applications related to:
- Communications-Based Train Control systems and technologies; and
- Railway signalling systems.
