2019 ICICLE Conference Proceedings are now available!
The 2019 ICICLE Conference on Learning Engineering was designed as a series of conversations about the emergence of Learning Engineering as a profession and new academic discipline. The Conference Proceedings are a curation of papers, reflections, slide decks, demos, videos and brainstorming that represent the variety of views presented. Thank you to everyone who participated in the conference and contributed to the proceedings!

In Insights interview: how to engineer edtech for learning and adoption at scale, Adam Black interviews Professor Chris Dede about learning engineering, edtech that scales and edtech of the future. Carnegie Mellon University‘s Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence and Educational Innovationare designing a set of Signature Courses using CMU’s learning engineering approach. Jessie Chuang, Corporate Group Chair, and Barish Golland published Learning Engineering: Improving Organizational Learning With Artificial Intelligence on how learning engineering can apply to the organizational learning context.
ICICLE participated in two conferences in August. The Learning Engineering @ Scale Workshop was held at the Learning at Scale 2020 Conference on August 12th. At iFest 2020 conference August 17th-19th Learning Engineering sessions included a Learning Engineering Panel, live and pre-recorded video presentations, a Learning Engineering Chat Room and poster. We’ll be posting presentations on our website.
SIGs
The Design SIG will present its ICICLE Strong Person at the August meetingto explore the design of a learning engineering process and to elicit feedback from the ICICLE community. The next meeting is Tuesday, Aug 25th at 2 pm ET. The meeting link is in the Agenda and Meeting Notes.
The Corporate MIG (market interest group) is gathering case studies on applying Learning Engineering to enhance L&D and performance in the corporate context and has a series of corporate L&D interviews. On August 21st they are interviewing Vinod Uniyal, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Talent Development Practice at IBM. The next MIG meeting is Friday, August 28th at 11 AM ET.
