ICICLE October 2024 Community Call: Avron Barr, AI and the Future of Learning Expert, and Past Chair, IEEE Learning Technology Standards Committee
The ICICLE monthly community call is Wednesday, October 16th at 12pm ET. We excited that Avron Barr, principal of Aldo Ventures, Inc., will be sharing his recent experience advising an organization in India to design a course for teachers on AI in education. Avron has had a life-long interest in how AI will change the way we know, learn, and teach. He edited the seminal Handbook of Artificial Intelligence while at Stanford University and then co-founded Teknowledge, an early AI startup in Silicon Valley. Working with companies, organizations, schools, and start-ups, he helps people understand, explain, and market cutting-edge software. He chaired the IEEE Standards Association Learning Technology Standards Committee for over a decade. It was under his leadership that ICICLE launched.
We’ll be meeting via Webex for the community call. (See details below with meeting code and password.) It is scheduled for one hour’s length. Full agenda will be posted here.
